MITCHELL'S PLAIN MUSIC ACADEMY HISTORY
Mitchell’s Plain Music Academy is a part-time music programme that was established in 2014 and has been providing affordable, yet quality and professional tuition ever since. Our programme accommodates beginners, intermediate and advanced musicians. We have employed qualified and skilled teachers from UCT and Stellenbosch University who’s not only brilliant teachers but also professional musicians and artists to work with our students and take them to the next level.

One on One
Our one-on-one music lessons offer personalized instruction tailored to each student's unique needs and goals. Each 30-minute session is designed to cater to your unique learning pace and goals. Whether you're 6 years old or 60+, we provide expert instruction on a wide variety of instruments, including:
Piano | Trumpet | Saxophone (Alto & Tenor) | Drums | Guitar | Violin | Voice | Trombone | Clarinet | Cello | Bass Guitar & Ukulele

Fixed schedules during the week, choose a slot between (Mon-Thu: 4 PM - 7:30 PM or Sat: 9 AM - 12:30 PM) at our Mitchell's Plain branch and Thursdays at our Kraaifontein branch.
For students aged 10 and older, the course includes:

Weekly Group Music Theory Classes (45 min): Understand the "language" of music.

Aural Training Classes (40 min, every 4th week): Sharpen your listening and ear-training skills.

Dance
Express yourself through our 45-minute weekly dance sessions every Saturday at our Mitchell's Plain branch, we cater to various age groups, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and inspired.
Our dance lessons provide a vibrant and energetic environment where students can explore various dance styles, enhance their coordination, and express themselves through movement. Whether focusing on rhythm, technique, or performance, our lessons help students build confidence, improve flexibility, and develop a strong sense of body awareness. Music Technology
Our 3-month Music Technology Course is the perfect introduction to music production. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this course covers everything you need to start creating your own music and recording others.
